Kristopher Jared
Kovach
May 26, 1992 — Jul 29, 2025
Kristopher Jared Kovach, born May 26, 1992, to Jay and Sherri Kovach, was a beloved son, brother, and friend. He was welcomed into the world by his big sister, Lauren, and brought joy to all who knew him. Tragically, Jared was taken from us on July 29, 2025, in a work-related accident while doing what he loved as an apprentice lineman for NLR Electric.
Jared was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James A. Smith (PawPaw) and Stephen A. Kovach, Sr. (Poppy), as well as his uncle, James C. Smith, and aunt, Stacey Smith.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Jay and Sherri Kovach; his sister, Lauren Kovach Simco (Christopher B. Simco), and their son, Smith Simco; his grandmothers, Doris Smith (Memaw) and Ardith Kovach (Nanny); his aunts and uncles, Terri and Steve Buckingham, Stephen and Renee Kovach, Donna and Steve Underwood, Cheryl and Daniel Burgess, Joyce and Michael McCall, and Rusty Smith; and his special cousins and friends, Hunter Smith, Liz Coker, Eric Underwood, Brandon Willis, Justin Willis, and Mike Willis. Jared's loyal dogs, Miller, Hondo, and Shelby, will also miss him dearly.
A passionate outdoorsman, Jared was a longtime member of the Morris Hunting Club, where he made cherished memories with his father from the age of four. His infectious laughter, cooking, deer cleaning, and camaraderie left an indelible mark on his hunting brothers, including Keith, Mr. Billy, Shane, Joe, and the rest of the crew, along with countless friends he made over the years.
Jared pursued his dream of becoming an electrical lineman, completing his training in 2022 and joining NLR Electric in 2023. His dedication to his craft and the friendships he forged along the way were a testament to his vibrant spirit and kind heart.
A celebration of Jared's life will be held at New Life Church, 3400 West Main St, Cabot, on Friday at 10:00 AM. In keeping with his down-to-earth nature, casual attire is encouraged—blue jeans, boots, and lineman clothing are more than welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Sentry Shepherds Rescue, a sanctuary for German Shepherds in Arkansas: 1592 Elm Springs Rd., Springdale, AR 72762. Donations can also be made via PayPal (@Kodiiboy), CashApp ($Kodii04), or Venmo (@kodii08). Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
