Larry Thurman Laws, 86, of Cabot, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022.  He was born July 8, 1936 in Crocker, Missouri to the late Thurman Marion and Ruby Kathryn Crews Laws.  Larry worked for GTE for more than thirty years.  After his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool, cars, and storytelling.  Larry never met a stranger and was always ready to strike up a conversation.  He served as a deacon of Mountain Springs Baptist Church for several years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Bolinger and Shirley "Kay" Hamilton and a brother, Darrell Laws.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Frances Laws; children, Debra Jo Laws and Phillip Eugene Laws (Sharon); siblings, Joan York, Mike Laws, Linda Keith and Terry Laws, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 21, 2022 at Mountain Springs Baptist Church with Brother Ron Theis officiating.  Interment will follow at Mountain Springs Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
