Laverne George Varner, 77, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away, Monday, September 7, 2020.  She was born January 16, 1943 in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana to the late M. G. and Ruth Estelle (Burr) George, Sr.  Laverne was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant.  She loved spending time with her family, cooking and dancing.  She also enjoyed trips to Hot Springs and Branson.  In addition to her parents, Laverne was preceded in death by her brothers, M. G. George, Jr., Marlon D. George and Reverend Jerry George.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Henry Bauldwin Varner, Jr.; daughters, Sheila (Robert) Smith and Brenda Spencer; son, Kevin (Rene) Whitlock; grandchildren, Damon Sims, Angela Arnold, Chad Brouillette, LaShae Kagley, Charles Whitlock and Kane Whitlock; great-grandchildren, Colby Arnold, Camron Arnold, Chloe Brouillette, McKinney Brouillette, Taylynn Brouillette, Konner Schmidt, Tristen Labouliere, Harley Kagley, Michael Kagley III, Balorie Whitlock and Finley Grace Whitlock.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Mucha officiating.  Interment will be scheduled for a later date at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.  Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the funeral home.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
