Lloyd Eugene Balentine, 73, of Cabot, passed away July 22, 2023. He was born March 15, 1950 in Weona, Arkansas to the late Rufus Walter and Luedith (Faulkner) Balentine. In addition to his parents, Lloyd was welcomed into Heaven by his siblings, Betty Dunnam, Geneva Dunlap, Marie Smith, Ronnie "Joey" Balentine, Lonnie Balentine, and Billy Frank Mink.

Lloyd, called by most as "Pops", worked on Riverboats as a motor maintenance supervisor for over twenty years. He then retired from Heritage Publishing after fifteen plus years. In his spare time, Pops enjoyed being outdoors deer hunting, catfishing, and spending time with his family, whom he adored. On any given day Pops could be found outside working in his yard. The holidays were a special time for him, especially during the family's annual Christmas party where he loved playing dirty Santa. Although he was strong-willed, Pops was a loving man that will be missed dearly.

Those left to cherish the memories of Lloyd include his wife, Patricia Balentine; children, Lloyd (Zandra) Balentine Jr., Shelly (Ryan) Lewis, Kelly Austin, Craig (Farrah) Austin,  and Tara (Ben) Wilson; siblings, Floyd (Peggy) Balentine, Doris (Randall) Long, Ann Sutton, Juanita Riddle, and Harriet Mathis; grandchildren, Samantha, Kaelin, Seth, Ryan, Sarah, Sam, Whitney, Ethan, and Tyler; five great-grandchildren and one on the way; as well as extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Visitation will be the evening prior, Tuesday, July 25, 2023, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
