Louis Holtman, 84, of Cabot, was welcomed home by the Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, December 18, 2023. He was born July 18, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Louis William Holtman, Sr. and Bernice Laura McCauley Holtman. Lou proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for six years during the Korean Conflict. He was a technical trainer for mechanics and did safety operational training for lift trucks. He was also a service manager and mechanic for over thirty-five years. Lou was very involved in church work throughout his life, helped with Boy Scouts and was active in the PTL in Lutheran school. He served as a counselor in Billy Graham's Chicago Crusade in 1971. When he was younger, he was recognized and honored as one of the Outstanding Young Men of America. Lou's greatest desire was for his life and death to be a celebration of Christ's promises to those who believe that He is their Savior and to draw others to Him. In addition to his parents, Lou was preceded in death by his dedicated wife of twenty-seven years, Linda; loving wife of thirty-three years, Helen; sister, Shirley Sturgeon; son-in-law, Chris Pingel and daughter-in-law, Eileen Holtman, great-grandchildren, Michael Andrew Holtman and William Peter Holtman.
Those left to cherish his memory and to miss him dearly are his wife, Sue Holtman; children, Diana Sisk (Ray), Ron Holtman, step-children Gary Meadows (Linda) and Kenneth Meadows (Melody); step-children, Elaina Henley and Frank Henley; five grandchildren, Jonathan Holtman, Zachary Holtman (Veronica), Jacob Holtman, Christie Norwood (Cory), Laura Schultz (Brandon),
Ten step-grandchildren, Russell Pingel (Rebecca) and Jeffrey Pingel, Stephen Sisk, Holly Wolfe (Bryan), Stephanie Sisk, Stephen Meadows (Chelsea), Daniel Meadows (Taylor), Jessica Dickerson (Kyle), Robert Meadows (Jenna), Reagan Buster (Malcolm); Four great-grandchildren, Harold Holtman, Nina Lynn Schultz, Peyton Norwood, Piper Norwood, Nineteen step-great-grandchildren,
Emma Browning, Hallie Pingel, Amya Harris, Desmond Harris, Chloe Sisk, Jordan Kelly, Jaden Kelly, Emma Sisk, Emerson Sisk, Trevor Gibson, Griffin Wolfe, Lacy Wolfe and Jeremiah Wolfe; Leo Meadows, Eli Meadows, Aiden Dickerson, Jacqueline Dickerson, Braiden Runyon, Theodore Buster; one great-great grandchild, Damon Sisk, as well as many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2023 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be 1:00 p.m. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
