Margaret Marie (Reid) Womack, 81, of Cabot, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home after a brief illness on Thursday, July 27, 2023.  She was born January 29, 1942 in Sylvania to the late Clifford and Flossie Marie Melton Reid. Margaret married Carroll Wayne Womack on December 18, 1965 and there were happily married for fifty-seven and a half years.  She graduated from Cabot High School and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Arkansas State Teacher's College in Conway (now University of Central Arkansas).  Margaret taught in various public schools in Central Arkansas and Louisiana.  She was a faithful member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church and she loved leading and teaching Vacation Bible School.  In her spare time, she enjoyed flower arranging and traveling.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard and Thelma Jean Reid.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband, C. Wayne Womack; two sons, Dennis Womack (Shaundra) of Missouri and David Womack of Cabot; three grandchildren and her "fur baby", Lucy, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Mountain Springs Baptist Church with Brother Ron Theis officiating.  Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.  Pallbearers will be Brandon Womack, Bobby Womack, Kent Womack, Rob Womack, Barry Corkern and Robbie Reid.  Interment will be at Sylvania Cemetery in Ward.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
