Martin “Butch” Turner, 81, of Tichnor, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026. He was born on May 17, 1945, in Stuttgart, to the late William Woodrow Turner and Ruby Aline Turner. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Turner, and his sister, Kay Holliman. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Turner; his daughter, Lori (Clint) Evans; his son, Lance (Tiffany) Turner; his beloved grandchildren, Reagan (Nick) Beck, Carter Evans, and Jackson Evans; his sister-in-law, Sue Turner; his brother-in-law, Keith Holliman; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. 

After dedicating much of his life to farming in Tichnor, Butch went on to serve as manager of Mallard Pointe Duck Lodge. He found great joy in sharing his passion for duck hunting with others. As a duck guide, Butch treasured not only the sport, but also the friendships and camaraderie that came with every season. He never met a stranger, and many who hunted alongside him became lifelong friends. 

A devoted Razorback fan, Butch rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on the Hogs. He especially looked forward to attending the weekly Touchdown Club meetings, where he enjoyed talking sports and spending time with friends who shared his enthusiasm. 

He will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, quick wit, and the countless memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2026 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home; 700 N 2nd Street, Cabot, AR 72023.
