Mary Alice Cox, 55, of Ward, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021.  She was born March 7, 1966 in Scottsburg, Indiana to the late Willis Eugene and Alice Louise Coles Colbert.  Mary was a caregiver for many family members, as well as in her profession.  She loved the outdoors.  She could always be seen working with her hands, enjoying her crafts.  Mary was known for her parties.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion "Freddie" Cox on August 6, 2021 and her siblings, Sue Brooks, Carolyn Carey, Michael Colbert, Bruce Colbert and Roy Colbert.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn (Matthew) Cookro; three grandchildren, Madison and Jimmy Sumler and Marion Boulanger; siblings, Donnie (Linda) Colbert, David (Connie) Colbert, Deborah (Michael) Cherry and Brenda Colbert, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2021 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Monk Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
