Mary L. Vaughn, 77, of Ward, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024. She was born April 1, 1947 in Manila to the late Elige Walter and Myrtle May Miller Adams. Mrs. Vaughn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She and her late husband of 58 years, Dannie, met when she was 13 years old and married when she was 17. She ran the home and cared for the children during Mr. Vaughn's three tours in Vietnam. Mrs. Vaughn was always willing to help anyone and always made a warm and loving home. In addition to her parents and her husband, Dannie Vaughn, Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by her brothers, Macky Joe, Paul and Bill Benham.

Mrs. Vaughn is survived by her children, Danny Vaughn (Tammy) of Quitman and Sherry Ann Summers of Cabot; grandchildren, Shelby Summers, Dannie Lowell Vaughn, Sheldon Lee Summers, Gannon Shae Vaughn and Addie Lynn Vaughn as well as great grandchildren, Danny Lynn Vaughn and Dawson Lee Vaughn.
