Matthew Eric Mashburn, Jr., 18, of Cabot, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022.  He was born September 8, 2003 in Atlanta, Georgia to Matthew Mashburn, Sr. and Shannon Mashburn.  Matthew was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Sherwood.  He enjoyed shooting, motorcycles, gaming, the outdoors and visiting family and friends.  Matthew was a former commander of Cabot High School ROTC and an honor roll student.  He was currently a student at University of Central Arkansas, Conway.

Survivors include father, Matthew Mashburn, Sr. and his wife, Amy, of Cabot; mother, Shannon Mashburn of Sherwood; brother, Isaac Mashburn of Cabot; paternal grandparents, Marshall and Linda Mashburn of Lonoke; maternal grandmother, Cheryl Waters of Florida; uncles, John and Greg Farrell, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Gravesides services will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Mount Carmel Cemetery.  Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
