Obituary

Murphy Rae Elliott, 35, of Cabot, passed from this life on September 24, 2024. She was born June 8,1989 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to James and Valerie Rowland. Murphy was a devoted mother, a fierce advocate for children with special needs, and a beloved friend to all who knew her. Her indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication made a profound impact on countless lives, especially the families she supported through her work while at Kids Unlimited.

Murphy's commitment to making a difference was evident in everything she did. She championed the underdog, always standing up for those who needed a voice. With a strong and spirited presence, she inspired others to embrace life's challenges with courage. Her own journey, marked by resilience in the face of her diagnosis, became a beacon of hope for many. Murphy lived life to its fullest, showing those around her that each day is a gift.

In her role as a mother, Murphy found joy and purpose. Her daughter, Freya, was the light of her life, and Murphy did everything she could to make sure Freya knew how much she loved and cherished her. Although she could not have more children of her own, her passion for helping others extended to supporting families during the most pivotal moments of their lives. She took immense pride in delivering her best friend's son, Adam, an experience that solidified her legacy of compassion and care. Murphy's heart was as big as her personality, and she never hesitated to show up for her friends and family in whatever way they needed.

A true lover of life, Murphy expressed her individuality through her stunning nails, pink hair, and meaningful tattoos, always willing to share the story behind them. She was a devoted fan of Harry Potter and Law & Order: SVU, known for her little happy food dances and embraced her power as an Enneagram 8, never afraid to speak up and tell it like it is. Her infectious spirit was adored by all who knew her.

Murphy's legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She taught us to ask ourselves, "What would Murphy do?" as a guiding principle in our own lives. Her action-oriented approach and refusal to settle for anything less than her best inspired all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we mourn the loss of our beloved Murphy, we celebrate her life and the love she shared with us. May her spirit continue to inspire us, and may she find the best sushi waiting for her in the heavens.

Murphy is survived by her boyfriend, Cody Primm; her parents, James and Valerie Rowland; her daughter, Freya Jean Elliott; a sister, Madison Rowland; her niece, Annabelle Denise Rowland; her ex-husband, Steven Elliott and her fur babies, Phoebe and Frank.
