Nancy Ellen Pettit, 83, of Cabot, passed from this life on Friday, August 21, 2026. Nancy was born January 30, 1943 in Harrisburg, Arkansas to the late Rex Hampton Collins and Elsie Rooker Collins. She was a faithful member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot, where she greatly enjoyed Sunday School and fellowship with the ladies in her class. Nancy was a retired nurse and LPN instructor who enjoyed cross-stitch, reading, and spending time with her beloved family and pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Franklin Pettit, and her son-in-law Chris Arft. Nancy is survived by her children, Lynn Burns (Johnny) and Laura Arft; her sister, Elizabeth Noe; three grandchildren, Brandon Burns (Taylor), Lindsay Burns, and Kristin Arft (Robert Sebold, fiance'); one great-grandchild, Makenna Burns.

Memorial services for Nancy will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot.
