Nell I. Cochran, 97, of Cabot, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Ottenheimer Arkansas Hospice. She was born October 2, 1925 in Quitman to the late Tom and Artie Solomon Allison. Nell moved to the Woodlawn Community in Lonoke County and graduated from Beebe High School in 1943. She married Kelly Beard in 1945, but lost him early in their marriage and married C. E. Cochran. Nell and C. E. were married for 47 years, until his death in 2022. Mrs. Cochran worked for Venable Lumber Company for 26 years and then was a tour bus guide for ten and a half years. Mr. Cochran would accompany her when seating was available. The Cochran's enjoyed traveling and did so for many years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cochran was preceded in death by her first husband, William Kelly Beard; her second husband, C. E. Cochran; son, Tommy Beard and brothers, Walter and Joe Allison.

Mrs. Cochran is survived by one son, Tony (Jo) Cochran of Lonoke; grandchildren, Kelly (Amanda) Beard of Roanoke, Texas, Toby Cochran of Fort Worth, Texas, Jody Cochran of Beebe and Tonya Cochran of Cabot; step grandchild, Zack Eaves (Jami) of Lonoke; six great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren as well as a host of other family and friends.
