Nona Faye Lawhon, 84, of Cabot, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025. She was born June 28, 1940 in Sidney, Arkansas to the late Eulis and Elsie Rush Caraway.  Lovingly called Nana by her children and grandchildren, Nona enjoyed traveling on cruises and trips to Alaska, Canada, the Caribbean, and across America from New York, Carolinas; Florida to Washington State. Many family trips were taken to Gulf Shores and church group trips to Gatlinburg and Branson to hear her favorite gospel music.  In addition to her parents, Nona was preceded in death by her siblings, Jewell Caraway, Delmas Caraway, Ardell Caraway, Myron Caraway and Donna Caraway.

Left to cherish her memory and to miss her dearly are her husband of sixty-five years, Charles Lawhon; children, Patricia Lorraine Hendrickson (Terry) and Marilyn Gaye Keener (Charles); three grandchildren, Emily Diane Johnson (Ryan), Wesley Aaron Keener (Katie) and Sarah Katelyn Whitington (Ethan); two great-grandchildren, Jack Bennett Johnson and Calvin Hayes Johnson; a new great-granddaughter to arrive soon and numerous extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 24, 2025 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with visitation at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
