Nora Agnus Lackey, 97, of Cabot, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Born in Cabot on December 3, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Bertha Mahoney Russell. She was a homemaker until her children started school, then worked as a bookkeeper at Riceland Rice until her retirement. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lackey was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie B. Lackey, Sr. and siblings, Lucy Collison, Clara Dodson and Robert Russell.

Mrs. Lackey is survived by her children, Bennie B. Lackey, Jr. (Sandra) of Stuttgart and Mary Ruth Wieman of Roscoe, Illinois; granddaughters and caregivers for many years, Vicki Hackler (Roger) of Cabot and Nikki Thompson (John) of Devalls Bluff; grandson, Kyle Martin; great grandchildren, Halie Isett (Korbin), Haden Hackler, Hunter Hackler, Austin Hackler (Marla) and Trey Thompson (Lindsey) and two great-great grandchildren, Eli and Ella Isett.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at King Cemetery with Chaplain Bryan King officiating.
