Mary Oleta (Russell) Kinder, 84, of Cabot, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.  She was born September 17, 1936 in Cabot, Arkansas to the late Charles Hubert and Carrie Belle Patterson Russell.

Oleta, as her friends knew her, was a lifelong resident of the Cabot community.  She attended school at the Midway school site just outside of Cabot where she played basketball, served as editor of the yearbook, was named annual Queen and met and fell in love with the man she would spend her life with, Paul Kinder.  Oleta was the loving mother of two sons and a daughter. Some of her favorite family times were camping and playing games. In addition to devoting herself to her family, she spent time as a Kindergarten Teacher and a church secretary before deciding that accounting was her preferred profession.  She spent many years working at the Bank of Cabot as the internal bank auditor, her proudest and most fondly remembered job.  Along with her husband, she joined the International Gideon Association in the late 1980's where she also served as an Auxiliary member and officer. In her retirement years she enjoyed traveling with her husband in their camper as well as researching our family genealogy and tracing many family branches and ancestors.  In addition to her parents, Oleta was preceded in death by her husband, Othol Paul Kinder, in April of 2020; son, Steven Paul Kinder and her siblings Evelyn Russell Trickey, Charles Russell, Roy Russell and Bill Russell.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Mike Kinder (Debra); daughter, Phyllis Kinder Underwood (John); daughter-in-law, Karen Kinder-Cara (Mike); grandchildren, David, Joshua, Ashley, Devin, Jordan & Kathryn and great- grandchildren, Parker, Eli, Hudson, Kyrian & Thomas Paul, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
