Obituary

Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing are required.

Paul Richard Mahoney, Sr., 71, of Cabot, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 13, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.  He was born March 26, 1949 in Cabot to the late Dennis and Marie Mahoney.  Paul was a dedicated employee for over twenty years with Capital Tractor, Sherwood, where he worked on everything from push mowers to huge excavators and tractors.  He helped many farmers throughout the state in repairing their farm equipment and was well-respected by them.  After his retirement, he worked with his brother, Robert, at Mahoney's Auto Sales, and was thankful for their time together.  He would also take on odd jobs and was known for his hard work in whatever he did.

Paul was a faithful member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church.  The family would like to thank Brother Jeremy Holley, former pastor, and the ministry staff for their prayers and visits during Paul's long illness.  The family wishes to especially thank Arkansas Hospice for the excellent services provided to them during this time.

Paul had a great love for the outdoors, always working in his garden, planting flowers and enjoying nature.  He loved his wife and children and gave of himself to them all.  He loved family get-togethers, holidays with his in-laws, and would always leave saying, "I have the best in-laws around".

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Marie Mahoney; brothers, J.T., Earl and Charles Mahoney and sisters, Nell Winn, Nancy Romine, Mary Hughes and Lucille Mahoney.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Tullos Mahoney; son, Paul Richard, Jr.; daughters, Tonya Umbright and Angie Mahoney; step-daughter, Sharon Wallies; grandchildren, Mary, Ashley and Victor Umbright and Lacey Lovell; step-grandchildren, Seth and Caitlin Williamson; great-grandchildren, Emily, Eveline, Hayden, Piper and Ava; step-great grandchildren, Ethan and Kennedy Williamson; brothers, Gene, Robert and Ricky Mahoney and sisters, Joyce Justice and Charlene Mahoney.
