Peter James Gaccione, Sr., 65, currently resided in Cabot, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024.  He was born January 6, 1959 in Passaic, New Jersey to the late James Gaccione and Francis Marion Gaccione Dell.  He was a Christian and devoted Catholic.  Peter attended Admiral Farragut Naval Academy through the eleventh grade. He graduated from Lyndhurst High School in Lyndhurst, New Jersey after attending his senior year there.  Peter went on to graduate from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. From 1981 – 1986, he was the Director of Oncology Sales and Marketing for Siemens Oncology Systems headquartered in New Jersey. Peter then resided in the United Kingdom, structuring the start-up of Elekta before moving to their headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. He was currently employed by American Shared Hospital Services as CEO.  Peter was a very successful businessman and led multiple companies in restructuring and stabilizing business operations to benefit treatment and research in oncology. During his career, he was privileged to travel the world. He was known for taking care of others which included charitable organizations dedicated to cancer research, and also worked with his son's football, golf and fraternity organizations. Peter enjoyed time with his family and friends and loved to host gatherings in a first-class style. He led a big life and will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathy Gaccione; son, Peter James Gaccione, Jr.; sister, Elizabeth Hunter; fur babies, Bandit and Colt, as well as many extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2024 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with interment to follow at Lonoke Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the funeral home.
