Phillip Alan Nelson, 65, of Rose Bud, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023. He was born July 1, 1958 in Huntington Park, California to the late Charles Edward and Annie Louise Crisco Nelson. As a child, Phillip helped on the farm, and at the age of sixteen, he took a job as a milk truck driver. That decision led to a forty-seven year career driving trucks. Phillip was always a hard worker and was willing to help anyone in need. He was a strong supporter of Boxes for Friends and the needy in the community. He lived in California for two years before moving back to Rose Bud. In his spare time, Phillip enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his greatest enjoyment was his family. In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his aunt, Pat Nelson and three uncles, Jim and Dan Crisco and Tom Nelson.

Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Annette Yielding Nelson; children, Misty Turner (Quinton), Dusty Watkins (Matt) and William Anthony Nelson (Amanda); eight grandchildren, Breanna Turner (Ethan), Hayden Turner (Zach), Kaitlynn Turner (Kaiden), Maddison Turner, Quinton Turner, III, Donovan Morgan, Dakota Gauvey and Casey Morgan; two great-grandchildren, Ophelia Rain Benson and Elana Dawn Turner; sister, Joann Simpson; brothers, Tim Nelson (Dina) and Roger Nelson (Gela), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Robin Covington officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Furlow.
