Presley Arthur Nicholson, 86, of Cabot passed away Friday, August 18, 2023. He was born, July 24, 1937 in Ash Flat, Arkansas to the late Clayton and Addie Long Nicholson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mattie Shope and Sue Webb and brothers, Dexter, James, Parnell and Ernie Nicholson.

He honorably served four years in the United States Air Force. He met Brenda K. Roach, the love of his life in 1963, and they were married in 1964. He was the father of three sons and the grandfather of one grandson. He worked as a bookkeeper at Thomco, Inc, North Little Rock, and retired after 24 years of service. Mr. Nicholson was a member of the Sylvan Hills Church of Christ for 52 years where he served as a Deacon, and was a generous supporter of gospel missions. His hobbies included long walks, gardening, listening to music, and spending time in the woodlands on his childhood home place.  However, his three favorite pastimes were enjoying the simple things of life. Those were spending time with his family, sitting beneath a shade tree in his backyard while watching the garden grow, and taking road trips with his loving wife Brenda to pick apples and peaches, or to go on a picnic.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Brenda Roach Nicholson; sons, Stanley Nicholson of Cabot, Owen Nicholson of Sherwood and Brian Nicholson of North Little Rock; grandson, Preston Nicholson of Mayflower and brothers, Wilbur Nicholson of Sherwood and Wesley Nicholson of Smithville.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will be at Hazen Cemetery following the service.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
