Obituary

Prima Dorotia McCoy, 71, of Cabot, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023.  She was born July 11, 1951 in Sacramento, California to the late Prim Bautista and Winnifred Smith Bautista.  Prima was married at 16 and joined the carnival circuit.  After her husband survived lung cancer, she spent her life caring for him while juggling three kids and a job.  She was an incredibly strong woman that was able to balance the world on her tiny little shoulders.  Prima could sell ice to an Eskimo, knock a 6' 5" man down and run circles around anyone that tried to keep up with her.  She would take the shoes off of her feet for a stranger if she thought they needed them.  Prima was known as a tiny tyrant to those who feared and loved her.  She loved her family, loose change and Jesus.  Prima was preceded in death by her father, Prim (an immigrant from the Philippines) and mother, Winnifred Bautista; husband of forty-three years, John Daniel McCoy, Jr.; granddaughter, Gracie Manning and brother, Royce Fernandez.

Survivors include her children, Kimberly Ramsey, Primo McCoy and Brejida Manning; grandchildren, Johnty, Destini, Patience, Kaylee, Primo, Justin, Harmony, Nichols, Hannah, Katelyn and Jeremiah; great-grandchildren, Averi, Jaida, Aria, Edaline, Zachariah, Saphiriah, Xena, Arabella, Julian, Theodore and Lucille; sisters, Nina Fernandez and Lawanda Bautista-Walden; brother, Jermaine Eberhardt, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Celebration of life was held at her bedside as she exited this life surrounded by those who loved and cherished her.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
