Rhoda Bell Dedmon Burgess, 94, of Austin, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025.  She was born April 29, 1930 in Cabot to the late James Kelly and Margie Freeman Dedmon. Rhoda was of the Baptist faith and a member of Campground Union Church in Austin.  She was a homemaker until her children started school, then she began working outside the home.  Rhoda was a factory worker for Bancroft, Redmond Motors and Timex.  Later in life she worked at her brother-in-law's store and restaurant known as "Campground Grill".  In her spare time, she enjoyed making quilts, canning vegetables from her garden and cooking.  She was an excellent cook and thoroughly enjoyed family get-togethers.  Rhoda loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all of them.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Richard "Buddy" Burgess; son, Charles Beasley; four brothers, Jimmy, David, Wendell and Andy Dedmon and two sisters, Anna Lee White and Martha Osgood.

Survivors include her children, Berry Lloyd Burgess, Sr. (Molly) of Bigelow, Randy Lee Burgess (Evelyn) of Austin, Kelly Eugene Burgess of Austin, Bobby Wayne Burgess (Melissa) of Benton and Melinda Kaye Cole of Austin; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Beasley of Austin and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with interment to follow at Hicks Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2025 at the funeral home.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
