Richard Jerald Barnes, 66, of Cabot, passed from this life Wednesday, October 28, 2026. He was born November 9, 1959, in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late William Jerald Barnes and Patsy Crowder Barnes. He had a lifelong career in appliance repair, beginning as an adolescent, working at his father's TV and appliance store in Camden, Arkansas and ending as owner of Pro Appliance Service Inc. in Cabot, Arkansas. Richard loved fishing and sports of all kinds. His final calling was serving on the praise team at The Assembly of Cabot as bass guitar player for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Martha Barnes; brother, David Barnes and a grandchild, Beau Barnes.

Richard is survived by his wife, Billie Barnes; his children, Lennon Barnes (Jennifer), Rachel Barnes and Gage Slater; his siblings, Janie Trocino (Tom), Bob Barnes, Marie Chadwick and Kathy Maxey; four grandchildren, Adreyen Barnes, Jackson Barnes, Dominic Barnes and Tristen Barnes; five nieces and nephews, Francesca Trocino, Roxanne Trocino, William Barnes, Elizabeth Barnes and Raymond Kadleck, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
