Robert Dale Standley, 80, formerly of the Rock Springs Community in Drew County, passed away in Cabot on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Robert was born in Newport, Arkansas on Friday, May 29, 1942, to the late Lee Sylvester and Pearl Virginia Bradley Standley.  He served our country in the United States Navy and with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Civil Engineer Technician (35 years). He was a quiet, gentle man with a big heart and a friend to all.  Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 52 years, Winnie Lee Tumey Standley; and his siblings, Jerry D., Joe, Earnest and Vernon.

Robert is survived by his children, Kimberly Standley (Erek) Starnes of Hernando, Mississippi, Robert Anthony Standley of Monticello, Arkansas; his siblings, Thomas (Linda) Standley of Cabot, Barbara Gosney of Lake Village, Sylvia Standley of Cabot; two grandchildren, Tyler (16) and Riley (13) Starnes; as well as a host of friends who were like family.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Culpepper Cemetery near Clinton.  Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service, 501-941-7888.
