Robert Kent Wetsell, 72, of Cabot, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021. He was born January 16, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Harry Orliss and Pat Finnegan Wetsell. After graduating from Jacksonville High School in 1967, Kent spent several years as a small business owner before establishing a long-term career in insurance. Following semi-retirement in 2017, he spent his remaining years as a part-time product transporter in both the medical and automotive industries.

Naturally gifted at fixing anything in need of repair, Kent stayed busy working around the house. He regularly used this skillset to serve others and as a way to express his deep love for his wife and children.  Kent was a kind-hearted man who looked for opportunities to help those in need. We may never truly know the number of lives touched by his generosity.

Kent is survived by his wife, Ruth Wetsell; his children, Shelley (Kyler) Crary of Little Rock, Casey Kemp of Cabot, Cody (Stacey) Kemp of Cabot, Lindsay Finnegan of Little Rock and Kelly (Chris) Looney of Austin; his siblings, Keith (Phyllis) Wetsell of West Memphis, Cassie (John) Donnelly of Cabot, Kirk (Liz) Wetsell of Austin and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services for Kent will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at North Pulaski Redeemer Church in Jacksonville.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
