Robert Harold Whitley, 71, of Cabot, passed away December 19, 2021.  He was born August 12, 1950 in Jacksonville, Arkansas to Harold and Virginia Davis Whitley.  Mr. Whitley proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, 1 ^st Division with two tours of duty in Vietnam.  He enjoyed many hobbies, including, hunting, fishing, camping and riding his Harley.  Mr. Whitley was a member for over forty years at C & C Hunting Club and was also involved in drag-racing for twelve years. He was a member of Country Chapel in Austin and Post 71 American Legion.  His over forty-two year career was as a truck driver with twelve of those years being a driver with Pat Salmon.  Mr. Whitley was preceded in death by his father, Harold Whitley and son, Shayne Whitley.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vickie Whitley; children, Jennifer Smith (Brad) of Austin, Angela Castleberry of Beebe, Bobby Hill of Sherwood; five grandsons, Bryce and Brenden Hill, Clay Flesher, Clay Smith and Shayne Castleberry; mother, Virginia Whitley; sisters, Debbie Vincent of Vandenburg, Mississippi and Maggie McClelland (David) of Conway, Arkansas; brothers, David Whitley (Jeanna) and John Whitley (Carolyn) all of Cabot, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Country Chapel in Austin with Brother Steve Zumalt and Sister Pam Whitley officiating.  Interment will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2021 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
