Obituary

Ronald Barry Brown, 64, of Cabot, passed from this life on Sunday, November 1, 2026. He was born April 22, 1962, in Cullman, Alabama to the late Elvie Alonzo Brown and Cecelia Ellen Anderson.

Barry graduated from Vinemont High School and attended Auburn University. Barry worked for fourteen years at Conestoga as a custom cabinet maker. He then went on to work eight years at Hawker Beechcraft as a team leader for custom aircraft cabinetry. Barry enjoyed eighteen years at Dassault Falcon Jet starting as a team lead and quickly advancing his way to manager of manufacturing operations. His newest endeavor was with L3 Harris as a member of management.

Barry was an avid golfer. He enjoyed golfing and played some of the best courses, which included Doral, TPC Scottsdale, and Sequoya National. He and his best friends played for twelve consecutive years at Fairfield Glade Stonehenge. Barry enjoyed yearly trips to Alabama to play Terri Pines with his Uncle Button and his son, Bradley. He played countless courses with close family and friends with some of his favorites being Mountain Ranch and Big Creek. He had two holes-in-one, the most notable being on Hole #2 at Greystone. Barry excitedly attended the Masters in 2024 at Augusta National. He enjoyed playing and organizing league golf for over thirty years. He was a member of the Senior Amateur Tour. He shared his passion for golf with his son, Bradley, his son-in- law, Will and his grandson, Emmett. His granddaughters, Kaysi and Amelia, often enjoyed driving the cart. Barry was also an avid reader, hunter, and fisherman. He was one of the youngest people to receive his pilot’s license in Cullman, Alabama. He volunteered his time coaching youth sports for his children.

However, all of this paled in comparison to his love for Royann. Anyone that knew him knew he truly loved his wife. Their love and passion for one another could be seen by anyone who looked upon them. Together they raised two children, and he was extremely proud of them and the adults they have become. He was a loving husband, Dad, and Pawpaw. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Selina and Brett Brown and his Uncle Horace Button Brown. Barry is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Royann Kittler Brown; his children, Brandi Simmons (Will) and Bradley Brown; three grandchildren, Kaysi Brown, Emmett Simmons and Amelia Simmons; one great-grandchild, River Brown; his stepfather, Doyle Anderson; his aunt, Martha Brown and her kids, Terry, Rebecca and Horace; a host of nieces and nephews; a sister, Angela Sims (Larry) and his fur babies, Bella and Beaumont. Barry touched many lives and leaves behind many close friends who were like family.

Memorial services for Barry will be 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2026, at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home.
