Obituary

Ronnie Joe Corbishley 71, of Austin died Monday, November 3, 2025. He was born April 26, 1954 in Little Rock to the late Joe Don and Ava Mae Rees Corbishley. Mr. Corbishley was a graduate of Cabot High School where he started a three-generation tradition of playing football for the Panthers. Ronnie was a builder and a member of the carpenter's union as well as a bull rider in his younger days. He loved his family and loved being a song leader in church and in the nursing home but most importantly, he loved the Lord. His favorite saying was "Jesus loves you and so do I". In addition to his parents, Mr. Corbishley was preceded in death by his wife, Christina Ann Corbishley and his former wife and the mother of his children, Marilyn Ingle Higgs.

Mr. Corbishley is survived by his children, April Kurck (Colby) of Judsonia and Heath Corbishley (Roxie) of Ward; grandchildren, Hunter Corbishley, Caitlin Pate, Clay Kurck and Carley Kurck; great grandchild, Beckett Pate and siblings, Jan Hubble (Jerry Weaver) of Austin, Orvil Corbishley (Debbie) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Karen Higgs (Randy) of Conway.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2025 in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Sixteenth Section Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. (501) 843-5816
