Obituary

Roy Lee Hoyle, 83, of El Paso, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at his home. Roy was born on Thursday, April 22, 1943 in Roland, Arkansas to the late Robert J. Hoyle and Dorothy Delno-Price Hoyle. He dedicated many years of his life to his work at the Kroger warehouse, but it was in the outdoors where his spirit truly soared. He lived for the rush of the wind, whether he was carving through waves on water skis or cruising on his motorcycle. His talent and tenacity on the dirt bike track earned him numerous trophies, marks of a life lived with passion and energy. He also loved the soul and rhythm of bluegrass music, which often served as the soundtrack to his favorite adventures. When the roar of the engines faded, he found solace in the stillness of a fishing hole or the warmth of a campfire, forever at home in nature. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Roy Lee Hoyle, Jr.

Roy is survived by his wife Robbie Lee Starrett Hoyle; his siblings, Addie Bell Hicks, Cynthia Ann Dozier, Samuel Eddie Hoyle, Robert Paul Hoyle, Jerald Dean Hoyle, Oscar Ray Hoyle; 3 grandchildren, Michael Darren Hoyle, Eric Richard Hoyle, John Richard Hoyle
