Obituary

Russell Scott Knox, 59, of Austin, changed his membership from Country Chapel Church to heaven on Monday, January 24, 2022.  He was born October 14, 1962 in Rogersville, Tennessee to the late William "Dub" and Verdia Russell Knox.  Russell was a faithful member of Country Chapel Church, Ward for twenty-seven years. While there he served as Sunday School Teacher, was on the Executive Board, and current Sunday School Superintendent.  Russell loved bowling, fishing, hunting, being with family and playing with his grandkids.  For the last twenty-eight years, he worked at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock, as an Accounts Receivable and Customer Service Representative.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Knox.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-four years, Renona Michelle "Missy" Miller Knox; three children, Amanda (Jim) Lopez, of Rowlett, Texas, Katie (Keith) Whitley, of Cabot and Caleb (Cherish) Knox of Jacksonville; six grandchildren, Blake Lopez, Rhett, Bentli and Knox Whitley, Kaydence Costello and Kellan Knox; his brother, William "Bill" (Kathie) Knox of Rogersville, Tennessee as well as many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.  Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 28, 2022 at Country Chapel Church, 3000 N Hwy 321, Ward, Arkansas.  There will be no graveside service.
