Sandi Louise Armstrong, 73, of Cabot, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021.  She was born February 9, 1948 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the late Tim Reid and Virginia Ruth Branham Smith.  Sandi was raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  She graduated from Fort Smith Southside High School in 1966.  After graduation, she moved to Little Rock to live with her mother and stepfather (Silas E. Young).  She later moved to Jacksonville, Arkansas to live with her father and stepmother (Jessie Smith).  While living in Jacksonville, Sandi completed a course of study at business school.  She married Richard Lee Armstrong on November 23, 1968.  As a military family, she moved from place to place.  Her travels included living in Turkey and a vacation to Athens, Greece.  Sandi's had many hobbies that included boating, skiing, fishing, surfing the internet and arts and crafts.  She could often be found reading her Bible.  Sandi enjoyed listening to music and especially Elvis Presley gospel songs.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of almost fifty-three years, Richard Lee Armstrong; daughter, Cynthia R. Porter; sons, Christopher L. Armstrong and Michael T. Armstrong; sister, Sherry Wolfe; brothers, Silas Eugene Young, Jr., Michael A. Young and Robert F. Young, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 1, 2021 at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot with Mike Young officiating.  Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
