Scottie Willard Watkins, 69, of Cabot, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022.  He was born July 11, 1953 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Willard and Mavis Barber Watkins.  Scottie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He enjoyed hiking, camping, traveling, visiting with people and spending time with his pets.  In addition to his parents, Scottie was preceded in death by one nephew and his father-in-law, William Carrigan.

Survivors include his wife, Penny Watkins; sisters, Teresa Watkins James (Terry) of Oxford, Mississippi and Brenda Watkins Alawine of Collinsville, Mississippi; mother-in-law, Joan Carrigan; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family members and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Scottie from 3:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Tee's Elm Lake Golf Course, 1609 Taylor Thurston Rd., Columbus, MS  39701.  The family would like to invite you to come and bring good, happy memories to share.  Cremation arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
