Obituary

Sharon Lynn Reilly Mahoney, 77, of Jacksonville, passed away June 17, 2025 and is now in the presence of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul David Mahoney and brothers, Edward John Reilly II and Terrence Lee Reilly. Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to our cherished mother, who passed away surrounded by love. She was the heart of our family- a woman whose warmth, kindness, and laughter will forever echo in the lives of all who knew her.

She loved her children fiercely and unconditionally and found her greatest joy in simply being with them. Her love only grew deeper with the arrival of her grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought endless light and laughter into her life. Time spent with them was her greatest treasure.

She had a creative spirit and gentle hands, often found crocheting intricate patterns, cross stitching with care, or coloring beautiful pages that now serve as colorful reminders of her creativity. Music was a constant companion in her life-the soundtrack to both her quiet moments and joyful celebrations.

Despite her gentle nature, she had a playful soul. She enjoyed video games often surprising us all with her enthusiasm and skill. And anyone who knew her well knew her sweet tooth-especially her love for Turtles and Kit Kats, simple joys that brought her genuine happiness.

Though our hearts ache with her absence, we take comfort in knowing her love lives on in every stitch, every song, every memory she leaves behind. She gave us all her best-her love, her laughter, her lessons -and for that we are forever grateful. Rest peacefully mom. You will always be with us.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Susan Clark, Rachel Thrush, Lisa Parker and Gerald Parent; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; her sisters, Susan Picard, Deborah Kochan and Donna Bromley.

In Sharon's memory, the family requests donations be made in her name to the Arkansas Foodbank @arkansasfoodbank.org.
