Sheamus Padraic McCarthy, 6 months old, of Cabot, was lovingly wrapped in the arms of Jesus on Friday, February 7, 2025.  He was born July 21, 2024 in Little Rock to Keiran and Carlie McCarthy.  There will be a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 14, 2025 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 900 W. Cross St., Benton, Arkansas with Father Luke Womack officiating.

Sheamus Pedraic, our most beloved blessing.  He showed us a new kind of love and helped us grow as parents. He will always be our perfect baby and each second spent with him will forever be cherished.

Although we didn't get to spend a lot of time with him on earth and learn everything about what he liked or disliked, one thing we knew for sure was his love for cuddles.  Him and his Daddy would take the best naps with the kitties.  Being held and sang to by his Grandma before bedtime was another favorite.  Sheamus and his Mommy could hold hands forever, if possible.

Sheamus was a warrior through all of his tribulations.  He went through things no precious baby should ever have to go through.  He served his purpose here on earth and God was ready to take him home.  We will miss Sheamus, but should not feel sympathy, for all he knew was love. He's in heaven now with his Grandma Carrie.

Our sweet Shea-Shea, Mommy and Daddy will love you forever.

In addition to his mommy and daddy, Sheamus is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Padraic and Shelley McCarthy; maternal great-grandparents, Ada and William Breitling and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
