Obituary

Sherry Lyne Milkeris, 74, of Cabot, passed from this life and into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Sherry was born in Wellsville, New York on Tuesday, July 3, 1951, to the late Murray Lyne Richmond and Joann Marie Chilson Richmond.

Mrs. Milkeris was preceded in death by her husband, David S. Milkeris, parents, and siblings, Murray Edward Richmond, Randy Richmond, and Julie Richmond and survived by her children and step-children, Brian Claire, Belinda Connors, Robin Halverson, Cheryl Thoma, Kristine Smith, Lori Milkeris, and Joshua Milkeris; her siblings, Mary Orpet, Mark Richmond, Monte Richmond, James Richmond, Gary Richmond, Holly Ordway, and Beth Giddings; along with several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Throughout Sherry's adult years she worked in the restaurant industry and as a caregiver to the elderly. She loved people and thoroughly enjoyed telling stories or jokes to make people laugh. She never met a stranger and was always giving hugs to those she encountered. However, the most important thing in Sherry's life was her love for Jesus. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Cabot for the past nine years serving in areas such as Vacation Bible School, working as a Counselor at First Care, and assisting with leadership roles within her LifeGroup. She was also a member of the Women's Community Bible Study that meets at First Baptist church during the week.

Sherry valued time with her family, developing close friendships, engaging in her church, and studying her Bible to further her relationship in Jesus Christ. Her love for the Lord and her strength to keep moving forward although in pain, touched all who knew her.

A Memorial Service in honor of Sherry will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 25, at First Baptist Church, Cabot, following a visitation at 10:30 AM. For family and friends unable to attend, the service will be streamed live on the church website at fbccabot.org "watch live," and Facebook via "First Baptist Cabot." In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to "First Care" which can be sent to First Baptist Church in memory of Sherry; 204 N 3rd Street, Cabot, AR, 72023.
