Shirley Ann Terrell, 78, of Cabot passed away Friday, May 5, 2023. She was born August 16, 1944 in Caruthersville, Missouri to the late Albert and Ruby Lee Abbott Sams. Mrs. Terrell was a devoted homemaker, an avid cleaner who did not like dirt. She was a great provider and an amazing cook. She was a wonderful mother who took her family to church and made sure the children always made it to their events, as well as a beautiful lady who always took care to look her best. Mrs. Terrell enjoyed being social, loved to dance and always lit up the room when she entered. She was a world traveler, living abroad with her family during Mr. Terrell's military career and later taking many vacations and various trips. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Terrell was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Terrell; a son, Dale Terrell and siblings, Buddy Simms, Norma Jean Patterson, Clifton Sams and Bruce Sams.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carla Maxwell (Jim) of Perry, Donna Raney (Jennifer Andreae) of Atlanta, Georgia, Paul Alan Terrell (Heather) of Nashville, Tennessee and Paula Russell (Chris) of Cabot; grandchildren, Christopher Maxwell, Kimberly Terrell, Tasha Greet, Ryan Terrell, Justin Terrell, Heather Terrell, Jason Terrell, Brandon Russell, Blake Russell and Matthew Terrell; great grandchildren, Avery Hammond, Mason Renn, Kayden Terrell, Saylah, Greet, Brinley Wilks, Allison Terrell, Everly Brawley and Reese Russell. Also surviving her are her siblings, Albert Sams, Jr. Patricia Brice, Wallie Sams and Lois Henderson.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023 at Mount Carmel Cemetery with a time of visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the cemetery under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501)843-5816.
