Shirley Jeanne Trewitt, 83, of Ward, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021.  She was born November, 28, 1937 in Dyess, Arkansas to Dewey and Ella Mae (Dodd) Pennington. Shirley was a faithful and loving wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother and a thoroughly honorable person.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph 'Chuck' Pennington.

Shirley is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Jimmie Trewitt;  her children, Sherrie Palmer (John Palmer) of Ward, James Trewitt (Judith Bergquist) of Denver, Colorado, Teresa Goff (David Goff) of McRae; sister, Teresa 'Jo' Gorge of Burlington, Kansas; five grandchildren, Dana See (John See), Chrissy Wood (Josh Wood), Sean Palmer (Kelly Palmer), Wade Palmer (Ashlee Walker), Kyle Trewitt (Sky Perez) and six great-grandchildren, Brennan Payne, Fletcher See, Kenidee Wood, Lillyan See, Raylee Wood and Marlee Palmer.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 2, 2021 at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
