Obituary

Shirley Ann Walker, 83, of Cabot, Arkansas left this world and entered her eternal home on Friday morning, January 10, 2025. She was born on July 9, 1941 in Ward, Arkansas. She was a 1960 graduate of Cabot High School and a member of First Baptist Church Cabot.

While raising four children, Shirley worked for Timex Watches, Kent Vestal Wholesale Florist, delivered newspapers for the Arkansas Democrat, was a church custodian, and finally retired from the United States Postal Service in 2004.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Louise O'Bryan of Ward, Arkansas; and sister, Carol Toland of Sherwood. She is survived by her daughter, Cherri Wilson of Quitman; son, Timothy Walker of Ward; daughter, Tammy Daigle (Lee) of Cabot; and son, Patrick Walker (Kim) of Antioch. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandon Wilson (Danielle) of West Point, Virginia; Austin Daigle of Cabot; Zachary Perry (Emily) of Romance; Kristen Walker of Bella Vista; Kaden Walker of Bella Vista; Maya Stephenson (Tony) of Beebe; Colton Perry of Beebe; Josiah Chase Walker of Antioch; Selah Walker of Antioch; and two great-grandchildren, Wade Wilson of West Point, Virginia; and Winry Wilson of West Point, Virginia. She is also survived by her brother-in law, Tommy Toland of Sherwood; niece, Ginger Holcomb (Cliff) of Sherwood; nephew, Bryan Toland (Jennifer) of North Little Rock; and several cousins around the country.

Shirley is remembered for her willingness to serve God's kingdom and her love to travel. She served on mission trips to Romania and Bulgaria. As a volunteer for Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief, she served thousands of people around the country who suffered natural disasters. She also served several years in the First C.A.R.E. ministry of First Baptist Church Cabot. Shirley traveled to and through several countries and 49 of the 50 states.

We are confident her traveling days are over, but her service to the Kingdom has only just begun as she is now worshipping her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for all of eternity.
