Steve Nelson, 64, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away Feb 1, 2022 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri with his family by his side. Steve was born July 24, 1957 in San Jose, California. He and his wife of 36 years, Tracy Nelson, had one son, Drew, and one grandson, Jaxson.

Steve served in the United States Air Force for ten years. He was President of Nelson Electric, Inc. for 15 years. Steve enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his family, and his sense of humor lit up any room.

His work years were cut short, and his life was extended when he received a double-lung transplant. He later received a second lung transplant. Through these extensive medical procedures, Steve continued to fight to the end. He was an inspiration to all who knew him.

Steve is survived by his wife, Tracy Nelson, his son, Drew Nelson, grandson, Jaxson Nelson, parents Milton and Barbara Nelson, Jody Davids (sister), Scott Nelson (brother), Fred and Gayle Guppy (parents-in-law), Tamara Culpepper (sister-in-law), Todd Guppy (brother-in-law), and many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by nephew Wesley Davids, United States Marine Corps.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 11, 2022 at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot with Pastor John Powell officiating.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
