Sue Prince, age 92, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022. She was born June 9, 1929 to Edward Lee and Gracie Faye Hankins in Oil Trough, Arkansas. She graduated from Oil Trough High School, where she excelled on the basketball team. In 1947 she married her sweetheart, Robert Prince and together they welcomed their daughters, Brenda Sue and Deborah Gail. In 1962 they moved to Cabot and opened Cabot Auto Supply. She also worked for many years at Dorothy's Dress Shop. She enjoyed working because it gave her the opportunity to meet and serve the people of Cabot. She was selected as Cabot Woman of the Year in 1965. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Cabot, where she served as a greeter, Sunday School teacher and AWANA teacher. She was most recently a member of Charity Baptist Church in Ward. She loved the Lord and spent time each day in His word. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her kindness to everyone she met, her warm heart for her friends and family, and her delicious pecan pie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Prince; daughter, Brenda Thompson; parents, Edward and Gracie Hankins and siblings, Devona Simmons, Dean Erwin, Judge Hankins and Vennie Lee Hankins.

Mrs. Prince is survived by her daughter, Debbie Tanner (Richard) of Cabot; grandchildren, Stacy Bell (James), Jennifer Bradford and Robert Rorie (Cynthia); step-grandchildren, Richard Tanner, Jr. (Lori), Drew Tanner and Matt Tanner (Danielle); great-grandchildren, Natalie Bell, Patrick Bell, Ryder Rorie, Ellis Rorie and Everleigh Rorie; step-great grandchildren, Mollie Tanner, Sarah Tanner and Cecelia Tanner and nephew, Jim Erwin (Carolyn).

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m, Tuesday, March 15, 2022 in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Brother Keith Lewis officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery in Newark at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501)843-5816.
