Obituary

Terrill Lynn Wood, 67, of Ward, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026. He was born May 10, 1959 in Beebe. As a youngster, Terrill went to school and helped his mother garden. When he was a little older, he worked at a local dairy and eventually went to work for Tommy Thompson Heat & Air. In 1994, Terrill took over Thompson’s business, starting Wood Heat & Air.

Many would describe Terrill as a simple, country guy who loved to work. He also loved his western style shirts and blue jeans, along with meat and potatoes at mealtime. He still lived at the home place where he grew up. Terrill loved being outside and it was even better when he could climb up on one of his tractors. What he could do on those tractors gave him a great sense of accomplishment, as well as a place to escape. Terrill loved spending time with his grandkids when he could. He professed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a devoted member of Victory Baptist Church, recently serving as a trustee. Terrill was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Irene Taylor and sister, Phyllis Gibson. Those left to cherish his memory and to miss him dearly are his wife, Nancy Wood; daughters, Terrie Billings, Linda Williams and Julia (Shane) Blevins, sons Phillip (Mellisa) Wood and Jeremy Anselmi; brother, Gary Wood; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Victory Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sylvania Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. Arrangements by Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
