On the evening of February 26, 2026 at 6:15 p.m., during the beautiful fireworks in the sky, our Mom and Mammy was ushered home to celebrate with Jesus and those who have gone before us.
Terry Sue Hill was born January 23, 1945. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her mother and father, Marcene Owens and Guy Owens, and son-in-law, Kevin Knight. Those left to cherish her memories are her three children, Karmen Knight, Cheramie Richard (Paul), and Schan Hill (Bethany), siblings Allan Owens (Janet), Pam Farley, and Larry Owens, grandchildren Kourtney Perdue (Thomas), Kaitlin McMillen (Joe), Kaleb Knight (Jen), Zachary Richard, Summer Kohler (Cameron), Zane Richard (Morgan), Tyler Hill (Madeleine), and Garrett Hill, and great-grandchildren Kamen Perdue, Carson Gaither, Hudson Gaither, Jackson Perdue, Kelli-Jo McMillen, Josie-Kate McMillen, Kruz Knight, Levi Mashburn, Lesleigh Mashburn, Knox Knight, Poppy Kate Kohler, Parker Kohler, Avery Grace Richard, Aspen Richard, Adley Richard, a host of nieces and nephews, and her faithful four legged companion, Stormy Hill.
Terry was a devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter, grandmother, and great‑grandmother whose love for family shaped every part of her life. A faithful Christian, Terry deeply loved her church and her church family. Her faith guided her daily life, and her kindness lifted those around her. Known for her generosity, strength, and compassion, she built a legacy of care both at home and throughout her exceptional nursing career.
A pioneer in her profession, Terry was a member of the very first Nurse Practitioner class in Arkansas. She went on to serve as President of the Arkansas State Board of Nursing for 7 years, helping shape the growth and integrity of nursing across the state. Together with her husband, she also owned and operated a home health agency, where her commitment to serving others touched countless lives. She was still serving the medical profession up until her death as Chief Recruitment Officer at Arcare.
Terry lived a life filled with joy, tradition, and faith. She loved cheering on her Oklahoma State Cowboys and Razorbacks, and she treasured every holiday spent celebrating family traditions. Her happiest moments were those surrounded by her loved ones—cooking, hosting gatherings, and filling her home with warmth and laughter.
She also found great joy in the outdoors. Camping, fishing, relaxing by a campfire, and spending time at places like Big Cedar Lodge, the beach, Hochatown, and Richland Creek brought her peaceful moments and cherished memories—especially crappie fishing adventures shared with family.
Terry's life was one of devotion, service, and heartfelt love. She touched the lives of many through her work, her faith, and her presence. Her family finds comfort in knowing her legacy will continue in the hearts of all who knew her.
She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
