Thomas Loyd McElmurry, 70, of Austin, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022.  He was born April 14, 1951 in Little Rock to the late James O'Deal and Irma Turner McElmurry.  Mr. McElmurry proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.  He was a truck driver by trade and enjoyed working on lawnmowers, fishing and hunting.  His greatest joy was being with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Thomas was preceded in death by his father, James O'Deal McElmurry and his mother, Irma Turner Gregg.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Watts McElmurry; children, Leeann (Larry) Ault of Hot Springs, Loyd David McElmurry of Benton, Thomas Lynn (Amanda) McElmurry of Perryville, Jackie Thorn of Sherwood, Kimberly Thorn of Austin and Angela Boyer; twelve grandchildren, Brittany, Brandy, Trista, Dillon, Peyton, Adison, Jaylin, Emily, Cannon, Brittany, Madison and Marcus; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Sharon (William) Andrews, Becky (Earnest) Freeman, Evia (Eugene) Freeman, Jenny (Stanley) Ray, Norma (Billy) McCaghren, Glen (Holly) Gregg and Patrick McElmurry, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.  Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. at Apple Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
