Thomas "Tommy" Wayne Mulkey, Sr., 80, of El Paso, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026. He was born May 30, 1946 in Cabot to the late Fred Mulkey and Audrey Lemay Travis. Tommy was a father, brother, bull rider, horseman, friend and farrier to many. He cherished his time at his mother Audrey's western store in Cabot, as well as spending time with his siblings and extended family. He was a graduate of Cabot High School and Arkansas State University. Tommy taught science in Jacksonville, Arkansas for four years. He owned a hog farm for several years in Cabot and raised performance Quarter horses. Tommy spent fifty years shoeing horses in the central Arkansas area. Much philosophy, many beers and wisdom packed "Tom-isms" were shared out of the back of his shoeing truck. He lived life like his beloved western shows - unapologetically authentic, true to his word and hard working. Tommy enjoyed spending time with his son and grandchildren instilling his love of horses in them. He will be missed, loved and remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Mulkey and his siblings, Bill Mulkey and Freddie "Teener" Hankins.

He is survived by his son, Thomas Mulkey, Jr. and his wife, Jessie; his sisters, Rita Abshure and Jackie Holland and three grandchildren, Olivia Mulkey, Ethan Mulkey and Callan Mulkey.

Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2026 at Cross Roads Cowboy Church in El Paso, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service and also after the service.  There will be no graveside service.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
