Thomas Leslie Tinkle, 73, of Ward, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022. He was born May 31, 1948 in Little Rock to the late Earl and Goldie Smith Tinkle. Mr. Tinkle was a truck driver for McConnell Heavy Hauling for 28 years and also worked for them as a mechanic. During his career, Mr. Tinkle drove through every state except Hawaii and Alaska. He loved cooking breakfast for his wife, Betty. They also enjoyed going on cruises together. He loved his family very much and his grandchildren nicknamed him "Happy". In addition to his parents, Mr. Tinkle was preceded in death by his sisters, Grace Gaylord, Earline Tinkle and Henrietta Tinkle and his brothers, Albert, Bill and Walden Tinkle as well as twin infant brothers.

Mr. Tinkle is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Betty Tinkle; children, Robert Tinkle (Annette) and Oweta Babbs (Richard); seven grandchildren, Jessica Runyon, Christina Higgens, R. J. Babbs, Madelynn Babbs, Sydney Babbs, Christel Babbs and Robert Tinkle; two great grandchildren, Haiden Runyon and Zaine Miley; siblings, Doug Tinkle (Helen), Rick Tinkle (Donna) and Evelyn Sampley as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
