Valarie Sue Wilson, 77, of Cabot, passed away peacefully February 22, 2026. She was born July 22, 1948 in Little Rock to the late James Odell and Oma Ardell Phillips Wilson. Valarie was a dedicated sister, loving friend and passionate pianist. She filled our lives with warmth, kindness and her fearless spirit. Valarie graduated from Cabot High School in 1966 and had a long satisfying career in the insurance industry. She had attention to detail, organization and numbers skills. Valarie's musical talents allowed her to serve as the pianist at Mount Carmel Baptist Church for 25 years. She found joy working in her church, playing the piano, working her puzzles and 'bossing' her big sister! Valarie was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory and to miss her dearly are her sister, Shelia Howard (Loyd); aunt, Patsy Wilson; a host of friends and her best friend, Jerry Miller. Jerry and Valarie spent numerous hours preparing music for worship services. Valarie touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth and generous spirit will be remembered forever.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at her beloved church, Mount Carmel Baptist with interment to follow in Mountain Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Memorials may be made to Mount Carmel Baptist Church in her name. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
