On July 4th, 2023 as fireworks lit up the night sky, and patriotic music played, the Lord God, our Creator, freed our beloved wife, mother and friend from her earthly shackles and carried her into His Kingdom, where she is now our guardian angel.

Verna Sue Reynolds Uselton was born on November 29, 1959 in Hanford CA to Vernon Arthur Reynolds, a carpenter, and Lucille Reynolds, a housewife.

Sue attended Treadwell School (class of 78') in Memphis, Tennessee. Sue accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at Leawood Baptist Church. Here she met the love of her life, Tom Uselton. They spent the next 47 years together and had a daughter, Sarah Elisabeth and a son, Thomas Jacob Christian.

After graduating from Arkansas State University in 1982, Sue became a Registered Nurse and spent the next 40 years compassionately caring for others.

Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice in knowing that she is held closely in God's arms and that we will see her again. We give our sincerest gratitude and love to the doctors, nurses, other staff, friends and loved ones for their outpouring of love and support during her short illness.

She will be greatly missed.

The memorial service will be at Moore Cabot Funeral Home, Monday, July 10, at 2:00 pm and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Nurses Foundation.
