William Niles Beckley, 88, of Cabot, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024.  He was born March 3, 1936 in Sanger, California to the late Wilfred Niles and Marie Sinner Beckley.  William was always thinking of ways to improve things.  He was an inventor and very mechanically-minded, even building two electric vehicles.  One of those he built with his son, Scott, in 1996.  William proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years.  While living in Southern California, he worked as a machinist in the Aerospace Industry and also owned his own auto shop. After retiring, he moved to Cabot where he lived for nineteen years.  In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Risenhoover and nephew, Greg Scharnick.

He will be missed dearly by his wife, Sandra Beckley; sons, James Scott Beckley, Wayne Niles Beckley and Paul Martin Beckley (Linelle); four grandchildren, Kyle William Beckley, Haylee Ann Beckley, Weston Niles Beckley and Colin Beckley, and sister, Joan Judge, as well as many friends.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
