William Aaron Bynum, 81, of Cabot passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, June 6, 2020. William was born November 15, 1938 in Tyronza to the late George Aaron and Lucille Clayton Bynum. He worked as a bus mechanic and bus driver for the Lonoke School District for 37 years. He attended Russell Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Cabot. William enjoyed his retirement years traveling with his beautiful bride and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by many. His sense of humor and love of family will be remembered always. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bynum was preceded in death by his siblings, Ray Bynum, Earl Bynum and Georgia Bynum and great grandson, Wyatt Sloan.
Mr. Bynum is survived by his wife of 57 years, Geneva Sue Mahoney Bynum, and together with their family, made many fond memories with the Mahoney family. He is also survived by two daughters, Tina Strickland (Richard Dove) and Robin Wilson (Jerry); grandchildren, Laura Gray (Michael), Jennifer Sloan (Tanner), Jessica Starr (Chad), Crystal Vandekerkhove (Tyler) and Tyler Wilson (Katie); ten great-grandchildren and siblings, Jesse Bynum (Delois), Raymond Bynum (Linda), Charles Bynum, Leo Bynum (Caroline), Shirley Stracener (Ronnie) and Kathy Moody.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at King Cemetery with Reverends Steve Zumalt and Kevin Atkinson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501)843-5816.
