William "Dorian" Shafer, 77, of Austin, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Dorian was born December 10, 1947 in Waycross, Georgia to the late Hugh Shafer and Sarah "Louise" McQuaig Shafer. He was a long-time member of Country Chapel Church, an Air Force veteran and a retired United States Postal Worker. In addition to his parents, Dorian was preceded in death by his brother, Pedro Shafer and a sister, Mary Altman.

Dorian is survived by his loving wife, Sue Shafer; five children, Charles Brien, Kevin Dorian (Amy), William Aaron (Lesley), Missy Knox and Jeff (Tami); eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Delores Dixon, Janice Pittman and Joyce Hendrix, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Country Chapel Church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
